In particular, Knoxville has made notable gains, ranking 8th among the top cities for move-ins this year.
While Florida and Texas were hot move-to destinations in previous years, 2024 sees a decline in their popularity. Instead, more people are flocking to Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Georgia. Knoxville's growth is part of this larger trend, reflecting a regional preference for areas that offer a better balance of affordability and lifestyle benefits.
Knoxville's appeal lies in its vibrant culture, strong job market, and attractive living conditions. The city offers a combination of urban amenities and close access to nature, making it an ideal place for young professionals, families, and retirees alike.
